We use Slivers-of-Time sellers for four hour bookings to distribute free newspapers.  It’s much cheaper than using normal promotional workers. I can book at much shorter notice. And I can book for just a few hours, there’s no minimum. Some sellers have been a bit sluggish, others have been very good. Overall the quality’s just as good as I’d get from a promotions agency.

I was skeptical about the concept at first. But when we launched our new product we wanted to distribute it in shopping centres and on the street. I was persuaded to give it a go. We’re trialing the notion of handing out the publication using Slivers workers. The Jury’s still out as to wether that’s the best way of getting it to the public.

Some of the sellers have needed geeing up by a manager. But some of them we really like, then we discover they’re just not available to us because they’re being booked elsewhere as soon as they become available. We’ll be carrying on using the system.
