I started this franchise 8 months ago, I run it with my daughter. We needed to start some telesales. My wife and I gave it a go but it’s not our strengths. Because we’re new we have to stay flexible. We wanted someone to make calls two or three days a week. From mid-morning to mid-afternoon is the best time to reach office managers who need our service. I’ve found a Slivers seller who fits the bill. Without him, I’d have to go to a sales outsourcer.
The problem with sales outsourcers is not just the cost. You also lose control of the process. I’d rather keep it in the business, particularly as we have a spare desk in the shop. But I haven’t been able to get someone to do the odd hours we need through a normal temping agency.
The first Slivers seller we had was quite good, we ended up using her on and off for a couple of weeks. But she didn’t like the work. We tried a couple of others for two hour bookings, but they weren’t brilliant. Now we’ve found a chap who’s disabled so the sedentary work is good for him. So far, I’ve been really impressed with him.
