I’m retired, but I want bits and pieces to do. My partner says I’m a workaholic. A friend from the pub told me about Slivers and I registered straightaway. In the last few weeks I’ve been doing a lot of bookings for a big retailer. I love it. Before I retired I was a manager for Girobank with 40 to 50 people under me. It was stressful. Slivers working isn’t.

I have no problems with the system. I use my laptop at home. Usually I know when I am going to be available for weeks ahead. But you can only enter availability for the next four weeks in Slivers. I like the way you get a text message about each booking, you confirm it with a return text and then 20 seconds later you get more details.

I’m happy to do 10 to 20 hours a week. I’m easy about the times. I used to do part time work delivering phone books and Yellow Pages, but it only happens once a year. Now I am waiting for the Slivers market in Liverpool to expand. I am particularly keen to do office work bookings.
