I have a type of dyslexia that makes job interviews a total nightmare. I can picture what I want to say, but the words won’t come out right. I’ve lost so many jobs I could have done with my eyes shut. It really gets you down. I like Slivers working because you prove yourself by doing a good job, not by talking about how great you are.

My availability for work is really complex. I am studying as a teacher but I also run a recording studio. A lot of the musicians we work with are semi-professionals who have to fit in recording around their day job. I need to be free for those sessions.

I can do any work that anyone shows me. Even though I am dyslexic I can do data entry very well and copy typing as well. I’ve just finished a 4 hour booking for a housing company. They have a backlog of mail that they needed opening and filing. They’ve already booked me for a couple more jobs like that. Because I’m a student, my earnings through Slivers are tax free.
