Is launch right for us?

Does your organisation have an appetite for something new? It will require constantly educating local organisations and individuals about an unfamiliar facility. You’ll discover the Status Quo can be a formidable competitor. And, because you’ll be at the leading-edge, there’s no deep data to back up your case. A launch at this stage is outside the comfort zone for many organisations.
We’d suggest a launch is right for you if:
- The organisation sees the benefit of being a pioneer rather than a follower
- There is a willingness to accept projects with a timespan of 2-3 years before full impact
- Your aims are high level (eg increased employability, building a distinctive agency or economic regeneration in an area)
- Relationships with local employers are already in place
Slivers-of-Time is probably not right if:
The organisation's culture is based on “evidence-based policy”- Goals are measured in months rather than years
- Your aims are very tightly proscribed, for example focusing exclusively on the hardest-to-help individuals or narrow employment sectors
- There are no existing relationships to be leveraged
If you do align with the first four points above, this section helps you identify whether your aims and resources are compatible with the needs of a Slivers-of-Time marketplace.
